Helpmann
Future Fund
Give today
Shape tomorrow
The Helpmann Future Fund is a perpetual philanthropic fund dedicated to securing long-term support for the Helpmann Academy and future generations of emerging creatives.
It is designed to generate stable, ongoing income (year after year) that strengthens Helpmann’s organisational capacity and expands the opportunities we can offer artists at the most critical point of their careers–at the beginning.
This is not short-term project support. It is a permanent investment in South Australia’s creative future.
If you would like to support the Helpmann Future Fund you can do so by donating today:

How the Fund works
It is founded from Helpmann’s carefully accumulated reserves.
The Fund is managed by Knightsbridge Wealth Management (who have over 20 years experience managing arts endowment funds) and guided by the Helpmann Academy Board of Governors. Together they all have deep expertise in arts endowment management.
Your gift will be invested responsibly to generate perpetual annual returns.
The income generated will be directed to Helpmann’s organisational capacity, freeing up more funding that is able to go direct to artists.
In short. Your gift stays invested.
Your impact lasts forever.
The impact of a gift
A contribution to the Helpmann Future Fund:
1. Enables more opportunities for artists
More grants, fellowships, mentorships, residencies, career development, and the space for artists to take risks, grow, and stay in South Australia.
2. Strengthens the backbone of the organisation
Income generated by the Fund will supprt Helpmann Academy with our crucial behind-the-scenes administrative work. This is the backbone to our support of emerging creatives. This frees up funding and means that we can pass on greater support to creatives.
3. Creates generational change
Your support today helps shape the careers, and lives of creatives not just now–but in ten, twenty, fifty years.
4. Leaves a legacy
Whether through a major gift, multi-year support, or a future Gift in Will, your contribution becomes part of an enduring cultural inheritance for South Australia.
How to give
There are several meaning ways you can give to the Helpmann Future Fund:
One-off
A single gift to the Future Fund is a powerful act of belief in the future of the arts. One-off donations are invested in perpetuity. No matter the size, your gift becomes part of a permanent fund with lasting impact.
Ongoing
Regular contributions (monthly or annual) allow you to build your impact over time. Ongoing giving stregthens the Fund steadily, helping Helpmann plan with confidence and expand opportunities for emerging creatives. This is an ideal option for supporters who want to make a sustained committment to the next generation.
Gifts in Will
A Gift in Will is a deeply personal way to leave a legacy. By including the Helpmann Future Fund in your estate planning, you ensure that your support for emerging creatives continues well into the future. We have more information here to support Gifts in Will. However, we believe that conversation is an important starting point.
We encourage you to get in touch with us to organise a personal chat with Helpmann Academy CEO, Jane MacFarlane (see below for more information).
Why it matters
Helpmann empowers emerging creatives through grants, mentorships, residencies, professional development, and career-defining opportunities.
Yet the organisation recieves no core operational government funding, and philanthropic support rarely covers the behind-the-scenes work required to deliver these opportunities.
The Helpmann Future Fund changes this:
By generating reliable annual income, the Fund will help:
- stabilise Helpmann’s operations;
- free more resources to flow directly to emerging creatives;
- provide long-term resilience beyond economic cycles, shifting priorities, and short-term funding rounds; and
- break cycles of uncertainty
The Helpmann Future Fund is:
A perpetual investment in emerging creatives
A safeguard for organisational capacity
A legacy-building opportunity
The pathway to ensuring Helpmann can support creatives for decades to come
We would love to talk
